Guitar Lessons in Cumming, Georgia
Guitar is one of the most versatile instruments you can learn.
There are steel-string acoustic guitars, nylon-string classical guitars, and electric guitars.
Technically, they’re all the same instrument with the same tuning—but they each feel and sound very different from each other.
Because of that, guitar can go in a lot of different directions depending on what you’re interested in.
If you or your child has ever thought about learning guitar, one of the biggest questions is usually this:
Where do we even start?
A lot of people don’t get very far—not because they can’t learn, but because the process feels slow or confusing.
They might spend weeks working on small pieces of things they may have picked up on YouTube or other video tutorials without ever feeling like they’re actually playing songs.

A Different Way to Approach Guitar Lessons
The way I approach teaching guitar is a little different.
Instead of working for weeks before something starts to sound like music, the goal is to get you playing something recognizable as early as possible.
That doesn’t mean skipping important fundamentals. It just means learning them in a way that actually connects to what you’re playing.
Over time, students start to notice patterns, and learning new songs becomes easier and more natural.
That’s part of what I call the FastTrack Method — a way of learning that helps students pick things up more quickly without feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Who This Is For
I work with a range of students, so there’s not just one type of person this is for.
Some are parents looking for lessons for their kids.
Some are teens who want to improve and play more confidently.
Some are adults who have always wanted to learn but are just now getting started.
And some are people who have played before, but feel like they’ve hit a plateau.
Wherever you’re starting from, we just meet you there and build from it.
No matter where you’re starting, we just take it from there and build in a way that makes sense!
What This Can Look Like
Miles was 8 years old when his parents first enrolled him in one of our programs to learn guitar.
During his 30-Minute Discovery, he learned a few songs. His parents told me that when he got home, he played those same songs every day for the next week.
That’s usually a good sign that things are clicking. 🙂
He continued in the program and even performed in our twice-a-year concerts.

And then there’s Karen — a retired nurse practitioner who was at a good place in her life to finally learn guitar.
She started on a steel-string acoustic guitar, and as she progressed, she transitioned into classical guitar.
At this point, she’s built up a repertoire of dozens of pieces that she can play comfortably.

Getting Started
If you’re thinking about learning guitar, the easiest way to get started is with the 30-Minute Discovery.
It’s a one-time, one-on-one session where you (or your child) can:
- start building a repertoire right away
- see how the process works
- get a clear idea of what the next steps would be
There’s no cost for that session. It’s just a way to see if it’s a good fit.
