I hear it all the time from parents who are considering joining my studio. Maybe you can relate.
While they are interested in enrolling their kids into one of our music programs, they also express concern that their kids will find music boring.
They tell me they took lessons as kids but gave it up while they were still young, because the lessons weren’t engaging, and because practicing at home was such a chore.
And now when they look back, they regret quitting.
They want their kids to follow through with something that they themselves gave up long before. But they don’t want their kids to lose interest and give up, or to fight with them over practicing at home.
What if instead of being bored with lessons, they actually looked forward to learning new songs every week and had fun playing those songs at home?
This is why I created the Discovery Program for Young Musicians
The Discovery Program for Young Musicians is a weekly, one-on-one music program designed specifically for kids who want to explore guitar, piano, banjo, ukulele, or bass.
This music program focuses on quickly building a large repertoire of simple, fun and familiar songs, while also building a solid foundation of skill and technique.
Here is some of what you can expect from the Discovery Program for Young Musicians
Students learn 30 songs the first 3 months into the program
Students learn all their songs in the weekly, one-on-one coaching sessions so that playing at home is a breeze
Students learn the 5 skills and techniques needed to make learning and playing new songs fun and easy.

Weekly 30-Minute Coaching Sessions
Students learn all their songs, techniques, skills, and theory concepts in weekly, 30-minute, one-on-one coaching sessions.
Quarterly Progress Reports
Never be left in the dark about how your teen is progressing. Every few months, you’ll receive a personalized assessment of your son’s or daughter’s progress, showing where they’ve made strides and areas that we’ll be focusing on.
“Remote Support” Bonus
If you ever have questions at home about a song or technique, help is just a text, phone call or email away. We’ll make sure you stay supported during the week so you don’t have to wait until the next coaching session.
Live Concerts
After just a few months, your son or daughter will be invited to perform some of their favorite songs in front of an audience at a Live Concert a live music event that happens twice a year.
Monthly Concert Prep
No more being nervous playing in front of a crowd!
Playing your instrument at home and during weekly coaching sessions are the main way students make progress. But performing for an audience is a different experience.
Before they’re ready for these Live Concerts, monthly concert prep performances will teach performing students to manage their nerves from stage fright. Often, these recorded performances are so good that you’ll want to share them with your friends and family!

Because all sessions are one-on-one, enrollment is limited by the number of weekly time slots available. Once spots are filled, new prospective students are placed on a waitlist.

Every program we offer begins with a 30-Minute Discovery session at absolutely no cost to you so that you can know whether our programs are right for you or your kids. However, if for any reason you or your child is not satisfied after you’ve enrolled in the Discovery Program for Young Musicians, you can discontinue.
